5th Yalta Annual Meeting in Yalta

Summit in Yalta is the largest and the most influential Ukrainian-European high-level informal forum where issues related to relations between Ukraine and the European Union are discussed and recommendations for Ukraine's accession to the EU are worked out. YES is an open forum for the exchange of views which allows to learn from international best practices, and operates beyond the traditional ways of looking at issues. It also proposes and promotes concrete policy solutions. YES hosts lectures, working groups and public debates in Ukraine and in the European Union, publishes regular contributions and organizes an annual summit in Yalta.
YES is an international network established to promote the development of a just, free and prosperous Ukraine, to open the country to the rest of the world and to support Ukraine’s membership to the European Union. Is independent Organization which brings together high-level participants in Ukraine and internationally: policy-makers, business leaders, thinkers, researchers and journalists. YES is an open forum for the exchange of views which allows to learn from international best practices, and operates beyond the traditional ways of looking at issues. It also proposes and promotes concrete policy solutions. YES hosts lectures, working groups and public debates in Ukraine and in the European Union, publishes regular contributions and organizes an annual summit in Yalta. The organization was established in 2004 by a Ukrainian businessman and public figure, Victor Pinchuk. He has long promoted closer ties between Ukraine and the EU.
The 5th Yalta Annual Meeting gathers over 170 high-level politicians, thinkers, business leaders and journalists from Ukraine, the EU and the rest of the world. Speakers at the conference include Vice – Prime Minister of Ukraine Hryhory Nemyria, Member of Parliament of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine Oleksandr Chalyi, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, President of Poland (1995 – 2005) Alexander Kwasniewski, Founder YES Victor Pinchuk, Vice President of the European Parliament Marek Siwiec, Prime Minister of Slovakia (1998 – 2006) Mikulas Dzurinda, Chairman of the Central Bank of Poland ( 2001 – 2007) Leszek Balcerowicz, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament Elmar Brok.
President of Poland (1995-2005) and YES Board member Alexander Kwasniewski to discuss the Agenda 2020 and progresses made by Ukraine over the last 4 years and the strategy of the main Ukrainian political forces to reform the country. He discuss the future of the EU-Ukraine relations, the changing political leadership in Europe and the world, prospects for a EU – Ukraine free trade area, energy challenges and the judiciary reform. He participated in session about Building Democracy and Market Economy in the Black Sea Region.
