"Dialogue - The compromise - The Agreement",
21.04.2009 13:14:35 - adminOn 5th February in the Column Hall of the Sejm, held the conference "Dialogue - The compromise - The Agreement", organized by the Center for Political Analysis. The meeting was inspired by 20th anniversary of the "Round Table. The aim of the conference was devoted to philosophical reflection of the "Round Table", as a way to resolve the deep political and social conflict, and its significance in the construction of democracy.
In divided into five panel sessions, participants discussed about topics: the conviction of the need to compromise, the mechanisms for achieving agreement on the conflict, philosophy of the "Round Table" and the practice of democracy, philosophy of the "Round Table" and increasing the quality of democracy, the ideas of agreements in Polish political life .
Among the panelists were: Stanislaw Ciosek, Wladyslaw Frasyniuk, Andrzej Stelmachowski, Henryk Samsonowicz, Adam Michnik, Reykowski Janusz, Andrzej Garlicki, Jerzy Wiatr, Tadeusz Mazowiecki, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Friszke Andrzej, Stanislaw Gebethner, Zbigniew Bujak, Paul Kowal, Grzegorz Napieralski, Pinior Jozef, Pawel Zalewski, Janusz Grzelak.
Invited guest to the conference were: creators of the "Round Table" and accompanying to them experts, party executives sitting in the Sejm, historians and political, Members of parliament and journalists.
